The Electrum Foundation
The Electrum Foundation’s areas of focus are higher education in ICT, global growth and innovation. It develops dynamic business, education and science environments at the forefront of international research and urban settings with attractive and efficient infrastructure setups, jobs and services, as well as commercial, cultural and leisure activities.
The Board of the Electrum Foundation consists of representatives from industry (Ericsson, IBM and real estate owners), academia (KTH, Stockholm University and RISE ICT) and the public sector (the City of Stockholm, Stockholm County Council and Stockholm County Administrative Board), a true reflection of the triple helix model.
Kista Science City AB
Kista Science City AB (KSCAB) has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Electrum Foundation since 1999 and an active non-profit organization with a mission to promote and develop the Kista Science City region. KSCAB strives to make Kista Science City a top location for stimulating ongoing development and growth for both people and businesses. KSCAB’s focus is on encouraging strong collaboration between industry, academia and the public sector to ensure continuing growth for Kista Science City. With a helping hand from our values, “Love, Commitment and the Future is here”, KSCAB makes it possible for this vision to become a reality in the region.
Stockholm Innovation and Growth
Stockholm Innovation & Growth AB (STING) has been a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Electrum Foundation since 2002. STING is a business incubator that enables talented individuals to turn their ideas into sustainable businesses. STING provides qualified coaching in business development, a business angel network, a venture capital fund, a recruitment service and an international network of investors, business contacts and experts. STING’s vision is to be the best incubator in the world by attracting the best innovators and entrepreneurs, and by adding clear value in order to successfully build and develop the high-growth companies of tomorrow. STING supports promising Stockholm-based startups, primarily in ICT, internet/media, cleantech and life sciences. STING has provided business development support to over 100 innovative startups.
