Telia and Ericsson
have entered into a strategic partnership to enable customers in Stockholm to experience 5G services as early as in 2018. The partnership taps into both companies’ strengths in innovation and technology, as well as understanding of how ICT, digitalization and connectivity impact consumers, business and society. Based on Telia and Ericsson’s common understanding of market and customer needs, the two companies will develop 5G use-cases and service scenarios, including both communication and Internet of Things (IoT) services that aim to address new business opportunities. The partnership will bring 5G services to customers in 2018 by combining the TeliaSonera network with Ericsson technology.
