One sunny April morning in Kista, about 30 people gathered at Time Building to innovate the Smart Bus Stop. It was a wonderful mix of startups, SMEs, Industry representatives, researchers, teachers, designers, engineers, ICT experts, platform builders, representatives from the City of Stockholm, the national innovation authority, and many more.
After the introduction pitches, which took just about an hour, we just dived into it. First everyone listed what assets that they had and wanted to contribute to the Smart Bus Stop. This was everything from outdoor furniture design experience, different kinds of connectivity, policy making, easy to use CV/UX for tests, sensors, analytics, data provision, APIs, and much more!
Then it was time for lunch and a visit to the actual bus stop.
After lunch everyone listed what they wanted to do. We narrowed a list of around a HUNDRED things down to four potential projects:
- Policy changes for enabling innovation
- User study possibilities
- Sensor pimping for new services
- Platform for coordination of assets and partners and visualisation of the Smart Bus Stop
They are all really exciting and we will see what we can do to make them a reality.
We’ll get back to you on this one for sure!
