In collaboration with KTH and Lantmäteriet, we present Idéverkstad Innovationslabb.
The rapid technological development has created possibilities to create a more efficient urban and regional planning. The aim of the project Idéverkstad Innovationslabb is to create closer ties between the different actors in the process, as well as between actors and citizens, and inspire the private sector and businesses to make bigger leaps in the process of urban and regional planning. By creating pre-studies on cutting edge technology, switching up accustomed roles, suggesting simplification of processes and evaluate business models, the project will assess the potential for a cheaper, faster and a more sustainable urban and regional planning.
The current innovations in the field of technology are massive – the development of IoT, API, AI, big data, machine learning and augmented reality are all technologies that could be implemented in the urban and regional planning. The project’s aim is to develop creative environments and supporting processes that could assist in generating ideas that could be made into pre-studies for new technology, processes, methods and business models. These pre-studies will be in a small scale but be made scalable in order to create flexibility.
