This week I would like to highlight Helena Samsioe – a talented, energetic and unpretentious individual, founder and CEO of drone company GLOBHE, and Urban ICT Arena Supporting Partner.
GLOBHE is a global drone service provider helping clients access new perspectives, information & solutions, while simultaneously creating a healthier planet. At Urban ICT Arena, GLOBHE provides Urban Drone Lab.
Helena was selected as 1 of 10 winners of the Swedbank “Rivstart” Award just a couple days ago. Swedbank received 4321 applications and we are so proud that our Supporting Partner was selected among the top 10! The award of SEK 250,000 is to support entrepreneurs in the fulfillment of social impact business ideas.
Helena collaborates closely with the UN in Malawai to solve transportation issues due to natural disasters and impenetrable terrains. During this project, she has listened to the needs that arise in connection with natural disasters and other disturbances that affect the world. GLOBHE of course cannot reduce the risk of natural disasters, but it can provide a sense of safety among those affected by being able to quickly and effectively make sure that help is on its way.
At Urban ICT Arena, we often find that our main purpose is to connect people. This time, we connected GLOBHE with the Micro Mobility project we presented last week, and now we all are looking into the possibility of jointly conducting a project to experiment with drones performing the last mile in an urban environment.
