The Automagic Bus Stop has a new friend

As we have told you before, we have an automagical bus stop at Urban ICT Arena. The bus stop is being redesigned in small steps to turn the entire bus stop into a display window for new smart city solutions.

The City of Stockholm in collaboration with technology company Teleste will launch its new concept for a safer public environment and has now set up the first screen in Stockholm here in Kista. This type of intelligent sign is the first screen in all of Stockholm and has great potential to become a space for innovative outdoor advertising, where campaigns can be calibrated using metrics such as traffic data.

The bus stop is part of a project where the solutions primarily focus on creating a safer public environment and on increasing the security and precision of information dissemination. And Urban ICT Arena is happy to see that our bus stop is first out to test new features and services.

There is already a 5G base mini station that has been built into a caisson right next to it that is connected to the bus stop. In the future, it is hoped that the 5G base station can be built into the framework of the bus stop. Earlier this year, the bus stop also received a slight cosmetic change with the help of light that shines in different colors, and one of the glass walls in the bus stop has been replaced with a giant display

Do you have any more suggestions on how you think a bus stop should work or what it should be able to offer?

Share them to @AutomagicCity on Twitter or @AutomagicCity on InstaStories!
